I had someone question why I cared so much about President Zelensky enough to write about him.
Let me say, pausing to take in stupidity is an art. The person thinking Donald Trump should be applauded should be ashamed of himself and do hope he reads this.
I quickly excused myself. He called out, “If you want to meet for coffee, let me know.” I didn’t turn around.
To even ask that question, why would I care when abuse was so present shows ignorance is the new norm.
Here’s why I care, and so should you.
Kindness towards all needs to make a comeback.
To handle things gently whatever the circumstances.
To at least make an attempt to understand differences rather than bully another; to agree to disagree without wanting to stab your opponent.
I’ve had so many unpleasant experiences lately that I began questioning myself; what am I doing? Then I realized, nothing. People feel it’s okay to be unkind and short tempered; to sneer and blame.
To be rude without apology.
The accepted adage, hurt people hurt people has gotten way out of hand.
It needs to stop!
My respect for those who thought Mr. Zelensky’s televised humiliation was entertaining has lessened. The point isn’t whether you’re for or against the Ukraine, it’s how its President was treated.
We’re supposed to be examples for God’s sake.
What’s happened to us?
Where’s our humanity?
