I am annoyed at so many people at the moment, I want to write and tell them so…scream on the page like a banshee with a pen.
Makes me think of Abraham Lincoln who wrote many angry missives, he smartly, never sent. There’s a famous one to George McClellan, one of his four general-in-chiefs, for refusing to fight, and another to General George Meade for not chasing Lee’s army after the north held the ground at Gettysburg.
Both unsent.
Would love to know how many more they found in his desk drawer after he died. I’ll bet they could have wallpapered.
I just wrote one to a production company refusing to pay me, and another to a friend who let me down, both cooling like burnt pies in my desk drawer where they’ll stay unposted, just like Lincoln’s.
