I’m sitting here so humbled, reading the latest news about what’s happening in the Ukraine, how a week ago, they were people at peace and now, frightened for their lives and their love ones.
How one man’s maniacal machinations having designs on their human rights, leaves me chilled to the bone.

I ask myself, what if the Russians marched into New York City? It sounds so crazy, but is it? We’re certainly living in desperate times Christians call, the last days.
As I write, I have a picture of a mother and her little girl running, wondering to where?
Will they get there, alive, unhurt?
Will she be able to feed her child who must be so scared, while I sit in my sunny apartment, next to her, without a care in the world?
I’m not religious per se, but will go to a nearby church and light candles for them after sending money towards food and shelter, feeling almost ashamed not to do more.
I ache for those children caught in the crossfire of war, innocents who may never see another summer.
