A Capitol Offense

I can’t say enough how disturbed I am that every American doesn’t see how the assault on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, of this year, was a crime against our country…that it wasn’t just one of those things.

I am so ashamed of the Republicans thwarting an investigation. How unabashedly selfish they’re being thinking only of themselves, afraid of the retaliation of Donald Trump, who at this point doesn’t deserve to be a member of any party, let alone theirs. 

How spineless is Mitch McConnell to kill off the commission even though five people died along with two police officers, so traumatized, took their own lives. 

Abusing Elizabeth Chaney when she stood up was bad enough, but what they’re doing now is an outright embarrassment.

She, by the way, is who we should all aspire to be…not just a member of a party, or in her case the daughter of a former Vice-President, but before anything else a loyal, devoted, flat out American.

What has happened to this country, once the land of the free, the home of the brave?

I’d so like to know.
